Willy Rizzo Italian Travertine Dining Table, circa 1970Automaton Vintage Furnishings
Opulent dining table comprised of Italian travertine and steel, by Willy Rizzo. The modern design consists of a solid travertine top with steel edges and travertine base with fluted details. Rizzo was known for deliberately avoiding mass production and remained focused on a concept of traditional materials and craftsmanship, as displayed in this piece.
The combination of clean, simple lines and bold form of this piece would work wonderfully in a range of interiors, for example, an open plan Contemporary condo, Neoclassical Dining Room, Mid Century or Italian Modern eclectic bungalow. It would also be ideal in a hospitality or corporate location, such as; a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office as a unique desk alternative, or in a luxe clothing emporium.
Would pair well with Bellini Cab chairs, Milo Baughman chairs, and Knoll MR or BRNO Chairs.
Measurements: 28.25" H x 66.75" W x 40" D.
Very good vintage condition. Small chips to bottom edge of top. Some marks on the base. As expected, minor signs of use commensurate with its age are evident. Presents extremely well and ready for immediate use.
