*SOLD* Vladimir Kagan Signed Cubist Dining Chairs, Set of Eight, circa 1960Automaton Vintage Furnishings
It doesn't get any better than this extremely rare and exceptionally stunning set of eight lacquered rosewood dining chairs by Vladimir Kagan which includes six side chairs and two armchairs. This set dates to the 1960s per the attached manufacturing labels showing his 40 East End Ave New York address, which he consolidated into after Hugo Dreyfuss of Kagan-Dreyfuss retired.
These hard to find chairs from Vladi's earlier years feature their original upholstery, which is an intoxicating deep and vibrant navy blue mohair, and original lacquered finish on the sculptural walnut frames. Each chair retains their original Vladimir Kagan Designs, Inc. manufacturing labels under each seat as shown in the photographs.
This opulent set of dining chairs can be used together or individually throughout the home in locations such as a dining room, living room, den, games room, office space, entryway or bedroom. They would also be perfect in a hospitality or corporate location, such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium.
