Maitland Smith Red Polyhedral Dining Table, circa 1990, SignedAutomaton Vintage Furnishings
Expansive dining table with polyhedral shaped base by Maitland Smith. This eye catching design features a multi faceted base decorated in a faux stone tile made up of rectangular pieces in various shades of cinnabar, terra cotta, carnelian and rust. The polyhedral base allows for this table to be admired from all angles and would sit well placed centrally in a space. The table is topped with a thick piece of circular glass and underneath the base the metal Maitland Smith tag can be found.
This sculptural table would also make an elegant desk in a home or executive office as well as being a great choice for a conference or meeting room in a corporate or creative workspace. It would be a wonderful addition as part of a classic, contemporary or mid century modern dining room, living room, den, games room or family room. Alternatively it would be a suitable option in a retail or hospitality location, such as a boutique hotel lobby, restaurant, cocktail bar, members club or in a luxe clothing emporium.
