Brazilian Rosewood and Suede Lounger or Daybed, circa 1960Automaton Vintage Furnishings
Recently imported from a private collection in Brazil that included many items from Jorge Zalszupin, Sergio Rodrigues, Percival Lafer, and other coveted Brazilian designs, this opulent lounger oozes sophistication and finesse. The sleekly silhouetted frame is fabricated from Brazilian rosewood which displays a beautiful grain with much variation and movement and is upholstered with channel tufted tan suede. The back can be adjusted by a large screw mechanism, as displayed in the photos.
This stylish and classy daybed would be a perfect fit in a designer home, collectors studio, creative or executive's office. Perfect for those who prefer something unique and rare, possibly one of a kind. This chaise longue has the wow factor but it doesn't scream it. It's the subtle refinement that truly makes this piece an incredible find.
