This Asterisk clock by George Nelson associates for Howard Miller is a rare find and one of the more in-demand of his designs; The striking, gold tone metal face is mounted on a round wooden back. The hour, minute and second hand are free of breaks or bends which often plague wall clocks of this era.

Designed by Irving Harper of George Nelson Associates, taken from his Wiki: Harper decided to create clocks that were a piece of sculpture. "To omit numbers and have an abstract object that moved on the wall was something no one was doing at the time."

Harper was the principle designer of the iconic wall clocks from George Nelson Associates.

This clock is powered by the electrical plug mounted directly onto the back of the clock. It is currently running, however we have not tested it for more than a day to test it's accuracy. We are uncertain if the gold-tone is original or was added at a later time. Contact us for a full condition report.
