Restored Mid-Century Modern Brutalist Highboy Dresser, circa 1960Automaton Vintage Furnishings
Sizeable restored highboy in the style of Kent Coffey's Brasilia collection. This Brutalist chifferobe is fabricated from walnut and has been newly refinished in two shades of rich brown. The body of this modern tallboy has been finished with a lighter shade and is punctuated by the carved relief frontage which has been finished in a darker shade, creating a beautiful contrast. This dresser is comprised of two pieces. The top portion has two broad double doors which open to reveal three slim pull-out drawers and above it are two storage spaces, one with an adjustable shelf. The lower part of this piece includes two drawers which sit upon a plinth-like base.
This grand chest of drawers would be a great in a Classic or contemporary dining room, living room, den, family room, office or bedroom. It would also be an Apt choice in a corporate, retail or hospitality location such as a boutique hotel room, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium.
